A sell out!  Our first MacAskills of Rubh’ an Dùnain calender sold out in a matter of weeks.  The 100 print run was snapped up by members and friends, old and new.

Dùthchas – Homeland & Heritage, is a glossy product which delivers a fabulous series of fresh images of Skye, one of the most photogenic islands in the world.

Each month’s picture is accompanied by a Gaelic proverb with English translation, as well as the photographer’s name.   The proverbs were supplied by Coinneach Maclean and Jo Macdonald.

Orders came from near and far, with calendars finding their way to the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Brazil as well as the length and breadth of the UK.

It was particularly welcoming to see orders arriving from the USA, from non-members of the Society. We closed our order book for 2010 within a few weeks.  But if demand is high this year we’ll consider another similar project.  So please write and tell us by using the email link on the Contacts page.
